About the course
An often-difficult aspect of being a good supervisor is knowing what to do when employee injury or illness prevents them doing their regular jobs. We designed this course to give you the tools to be successful in this important role.

First, let us introduce ourselves. Meet Dr. Jennifer Christian (physician), Jon Coppelman (Workers' Comp consultant and trainer), and Frank Jackson (human resources executive and lawyer). We are the authors of this course. We have taught thousands of supervisors how to manage employees who have just become ill or injured, and want to share our insights and techniques with you.

Many workdays now lost due to illness and injury are not medically-required. In this course, we'll help you to better understand this situation and see opportunities for improvement. We will show you how to:
  • Respond when an employee becomes sick or injured and then manage the whole situation
  • Keep your people safe and productive at work while saving your company money
  • Be a better communicator with members of your team
  • Build the team spirit that is required for high performance
  • Deal effectively with difficult situations relating to attendance and performance
The course is delivered by Webility's on-line training system, and takes most people about 60 minutes to complete, depending on their reading speed. (You can do it in several sittings if you prefer.)
